Automatic duty lookup is not available yet. Enter a duty rate or amount you have confirmed, for example with your customs broker, to get real results. The worked examples use example rates.
See what your next shipment really costs, SKU by SKU.
Add your supplier quote, freight and confirmed duty. Get landed cost per unit, contribution margin and the price that keeps your target margin — then test what a tariff change does to it.
Built for small import brands
You bring physical products into the US in batches, keep 20–300 active SKUs, and price them in a spreadsheet. Every new supplier quote, freight bill or tariff announcement means redoing the numbers.
- Up to 10 SKUs per shipment, from a form or a CSV file
- Freight and other costs split by quantity, value, weight or volume
- Duty from a rate you confirmed or your broker's amount
- Export every figure with the assumptions behind it
What it does not do
- It does not classify your products or replace a customs broker.
- It never treats a missing duty as zero; unknown lines stay marked.
- Complex duties (per-kg rates, quotas, exclusions, AD/CVD) are flagged for checking, not guessed.
- Scenarios are what-ifs you choose, not predictions of future tariffs.
Worked example: a 10-point tariff increase
1,000 units at $10.00 each, customs value $10.00 per unit, $2,000 freight and $500 of other import costs. Net selling price $25.00, 3% sales fees and $3.00 of other selling costs per unit. The duty rates are hypothetical; they do not describe any current tariff.
| Per shipment / per unit | 10% duty | 20% duty |
|---|---|---|
| Duty for the shipment | $1,000.00 | $2,000.00 |
| Landed cost for the shipment | $13,500.00 | $14,500.00 |
| Landed cost per unit | $13.50 | $14.50 |
| Contribution per unit at $25.00 | $7.75 | $6.75 |
| Contribution margin | 31% | 27% |
| Price for a 40% contribution margin | $28.95 | $30.71 |
Each extra dollar of landed cost per unit takes 4 points off the margin at a $25 price. Holding a 40% margin would need $30.71 — whether customers accept that price is a separate question the calculator does not answer. Open this example in the calculator or see the formulas.
